What We’re About
W&SCC aims to be a traditional and inclusive cricket club for all. The senior side plays only friendly Sunday home fixtures, for the love of the game; while the club offers mixed junior cricket from the age of 5 upwards, introducing the best of our young talent to senior cricket when they are over 15. Our Warborough Warriors provide girls cricket and is working hard to provide a regular women’s white ball team.
We pride ourselves on being the best possible hosts for our visiting teams, and for providing the very best atmosphere for kids (and adults) to learn the game.
Where & What
The Green at Warborough is one of the most picturesque village grounds in the UK, and has featured in films and TV shows, cricket has been played here since at least 1826. We have an Edwardian pavilion which has been modernised and fully updated in 2024. We have an 11 strip square, tended by a pro groundsperson, and two outdoor nets. For older players and parents there is refreshment at The Six Bells pub next door.
The Green is positioned away from any roads, so it is safe for kids to go wandering, and dogs are welcome. There are lovely open circular walks from The Green and a children’s playground. The Thames at Shillingford is a 15 minute walk. Free parking on site.

Indoor nets run locally from February for juniors, while seniors tend to use our own outdoor nets from Easter onwards.
